A South African Renewable Energy Guide for Local Government – book launch last night.

Last night I went to the launch of “A South African Renewable Energy Guide for Local Government”.  This book has been made possible by the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the Sustainable Development Network.  It’s an easily digestible overview of the renewable energy sector in South Africa, and relevant policies and regulations which are applicable, particularly at a local government level.  Susan Mosdell from the City of Cape Town was a contributor on the legal aspects, and the interpretation of the Municipal Finance Management Act is refreshing.
