The City Council has approved a range of fares for passengers using the existing MyCiTi airport bus shuttle and the inner-city service that is planned to begin operations from October 2010. These fares, some of which include discounts, seek to make the services accessible to as many people as possible.
On the airport shuttle, tickets for children aged four to 11 years of age will cost R25 each – half the standard R50 adult fare. A ticket aimed at airport workers and all other regular travellers will offer an unlimited number of trips per month at a cost of R400. (These tickets are non-transferable.)

The airport shuttle runs between Civic Centre Station on Hertzog Boulevard and the airport, and departs every 20 minutes. The new airport tickets will be available from 20 September 2010.

The new inner city service will run between the Civic Centre Station and the V & A Waterfront, Cape Town railway station, the Loop and Long Street areas, and up to the Gardens Centre. This service is expected to commence in October. A standard ticket will cost just R5.
